I agree Mr California. It's going to get worse before it gets better. The number of public notices for foreclosures are more than I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I think we are looking at another 4-5 years before we see any real improvement in the market.

What a shame and it's obviously worse here in California. I don't think we are anywhere near a drop in foreclosures yet. I keep searching online about real estate around the country just to see if things are actually what "they" say.

Comment on Home Sellers Fatigue by Joan Gale Frank

I'm Joan Gale Frank, the author of the Home Seller's Blues book referenced in this article -- and I wholeheartedly understand what Nancy was going through, having lived through the same situation myself for a year. In the book, I originally called the condition Home Seller's Blues, or "HSB" because of the frustration, financial stress, blues and sense of living in limbo that sellers are experiencing these days.

Because of these symptoms, I went on a personal quest to find home selling answers. I interviewed top Realtors, home stagers, landscapers, marketers and psychologists for their best advice. All of that information is in the Home Seller's Blues book -- and it is this information that helped me sell my house and kept me emotionally balanced.

Home Seller's Blues goes far beyond just looking for the silver lining, as it states in this article. It covers everything from how to make a home stand out in the market without emptying your wallet, to how to cope with midnight anxiety attacks, financial stress and feeling out of control of the home selling situation.

There is even a home seller's blues quiz to find out just how bad your symptoms are, and what to do about them.

Right now home sellers need all the tools they can get to cope with the fatigue and blues. There is no easy answers, but with the right resources and a little bit of humor, it makes the process easier to bear.

Another thing I have noticed is for many people, a bad credit score is the results of circumstances over and above their control. For example they may are already saddled with an illness so that they have large bills going to collections. It could be due to a employment loss or perhaps the inability to do the job. Sometimes separation and divorce can really send the financial situation in the wrong direction. Many thanks sharing your notions on this website.

Hmm, now you've got me wondering. I got the answer from TVA so maybe St Johns isn't considered a 'major river'. They say it's the only major one that flows north.

Having grown up in Jacksonville, FL I can tell you that the St Johns River is the only river in the US that flows North. Now living in TN and been on the TN river they the entire state, even though part of the river does flow North it isn't officially considered as a North flowing river. I think it has to flow North from the head of the river. St Johns does, Tennessee doesn't.

Keeping sunlight blocked out of the house during the day can significantly reduce the cooling load for the house. Blinds and curtains should be closed when leaving the house for work.
