April Foreclosure Rates Increase in Tennessee
RealtyTrac has released it’s market report on April foreclosures. The report shows 147,708 properties nationwide entered some stage of foreclosure during the month, a decrease of about 1 percent from the previous month and a huge increase of 62 percent from April 2006. That’s 1 in every 783 households!
Tennessee came in with the 13th highest rate in the nation. 1 in 722 households, an increase over last month of 6.89% and 30% over last April. Pretty ugly. I wish I could track it to the county level because I don’t think it’s that high here in Hamilton County. I’m working on finding the local stats though.
The 10 highest were:
10 Michigan
9 Illinois
8 Arizona
7 Florida
6 Georgia
5 Ohio
4 California
3 Connecticut
2 Colorado
1 Nevada
